It made me want to take my shoes off.

Hello all,

Wow, it is amazing outside!  I'm gettin so pumped for summer.

Bowling is just a few weeks away and we should have the the plans laid out soon.

fyi. The bible study after Dave's we will be revisiting the topic of giving to the poor.  Be preparing yourself. We need to pour as much truth on this as possible.  I ask that you all join me in fasting and prayer that any personal opinions and agendas be removed from ourselves as we study up on this topic.  I feel this is imperative as we enter into this discussion.

Also,  we will be turning any meals brought to the bible study to an order status.  This means Dave will bring snacks, and any other food you want will need to ordered through him.

Leave some comments,

CP

Outside In The Cold

Even with the long wait out in the chilly weather, last week at red robin was great.  Kyle, a new guy, came out and Corbin Showed up once more.  Felt bad when Jordan left though.

This week I'll be finishing the talk on finances.  Please be reviewing your study guilds cuz, I do enjoy you guys bringing another element to the table.

As far as the future goes, I got a few ideas I want to throw by yall, so stay tuned.

Happy Birthday Neil!

Gentlemen,

Mark your calendars!  April is our first month with a special event friday.  Bowling is the game and Fairlanes is the place.  So lace up you shoes, grab your apples, and starts practicing your body english, cuz it'll be here before you can say "four-bagger."  :)

I'm contemplating not providing dinner at our Bible study any more.  Let me know what you think and if you have any other ideas because we're not being reimbursed and everyone seems to be eating before hand.

Hay Fellas,

Just a reminder, I will be absent from Red Robin this week as I will be camping.

I talked with Dave on sunday and he mentioned the idea of making our blog an all Access Small Group Blog.  Leave a comment letting me know want you think about that.

I don't think we got a chance to discuss 5th friday plans yet, so leave a comment regarding last weeks list.

Packin' it in @ Red Robin

Gentleman,

I have a few things to go over with you all.

First, I just wanted to give you a heads up that I will be out of town in two weeks for our next burger night.  Things should go as normal.  As far as this week goes, Dave is getting the food again and Ben will be talking about moral decay.  I picked up some pads of paper and pens, so those combined with Ben's outline  we should be pretty well setup for note taking.

As our first event night draws near, I wanted to throw out a few ideas we might like to plan for.
-golf
-camping
-cottage
-bowling
-Craig's cruisers
-rock climbing
feel free to post your own ideas in the comments below.

later Boyz,

P.S.
What do you think about having a few of our nights at my house?

Spiritual Laws Continued

Greetings,

I hope this finds you well.

This past week Neil wrapped up his message on Spiritual Laws.  I thought we had a good amount of discussion and were able to see a little bit into the hearts of some of our guys. With us creating an open atmosphere for these men to interact, I think we will be able to break open some of them and allow for growth that may never have happened otherwise.  I'm so pumped just thinking about that! :)

Just so we are all aware,  Dave, with me by his side, will be taking over the food arrangement as well as the donation/accounting portion of our Bible study nights.  I would like to meet sometime soon to discuss this and other developments.  Leave a comment below weather you can meet at Access this week or before burgers this Friday.

Lastly, how did you guys feel about or pre-hang prayer?  I would like to do that every week.  Whether that be on the couches at the Pavilion or huddled in the lobby at Red Robin.  Let me know your thoughts.

Psalm 30

4 Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

Princess Diana?

Hello all,

Last week went well, birthday song and all.
I want to encourage you to continue to invite new guys out to hang with us.  Especially those who need a place to get connected.  You may see them every week, and maybe even exchange smiles, but their longing for more and don't know where to get it.  We formed this group just for them.

This week Neil will be continuing his topic of Spiritual Laws.  As requested we will have a study guide/note sheet for everyone to follow along with. Subway is the dish for the evening, so come hungry.

Deuteronomy 28:13

13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

Week 2

We have successfully completed week two of our endeavor into the mens small group.  This week we had three new guys show up: Keith, Jason, and Nathan.  Brad and Jordan didn’t attend but Corbin came back.  Conversation was good.  Got to hear a little about Jason’s vacation to Puerto Rico.  We talked about cars, jobs, football, and discussed a summer time backpacking trip.  Neil was sick and stayed home.  Having four guys overseeing this is great in situations like that.  Even with a leader gone, we are able to function like a well oiled machine and remain consistent in our meetings.
Today I was reminded that we need to plan far enough ahead in order to be most effective in our ministry.  Thank you Neil.  Therefore, I have created a Google Calendar for us all see the details of upcoming events, and plan future ones.  As you will see, Neil will be starting us off in our rotation of leading “Bible With The Bros.”  We still need to decide on a meal for that night, so post some ideas in the comments below.
Pray with me this week for a desire to rise up in the men our age to know God more and for them to begin to seek after Him.  Also, that we are strengthened to be able to lead and disciple them.
Keep you nose in the Word guys and I’ll talk to you later,

We did it!

Congratulations guys!  We have officially begun our mens small group.  After the past few months of waiting, I'm happy we're started and looking forward to the next few weeks.

Last week went well, I thought.  We had three guys (Jordan, Brad, Corbin) show and they seemed to have a good time.  I'm so happy this fast is only temporary. lol. Those burgers looked sooo good.

I want to encourage you to continue to talk to other men and persuade them to come.  For some, this is going to be life changing, and course setting for the rest of their lives.  Keep those business cards on hand and try not to miss an opportunity to reach out.

If you would, please join me in prayer for us to cross paths with others and for the Holy Spirit to prompt us in the times we are to approach them.  Be praying for boldness and the words to speak as well.

Have a good week and I'll talk to yall later.
